In order to maintain the satisfaction of our customers, increase our export customer base, and increase our exports annually.
The export season begins in February of each year, and usually ends in March, and the price of a ton of potatoes for export changes every year, depending on the market supply and demand in the local market and the global market
Potatoes for export must be free of all forms of brown mold, and free of kyubu.
The potato crop must have spent a minimum cultivation period of three months, and a maximum of four months.
Potatoes must be planted on large areas, and the fertilizer should be rich in potassium, because it contributes to raising the efficiency of the storage process for fruits.
The use of pesticides should be avoided, dry materials should be measured, and the crop should be fertilized in a balanced manner.
It is also necessary to put peat moss on the potatoes in the sacks prepared for the export of potatoes, to be preserved from spoilage and rotting, provided that the quantities are separated, and each 20 tons is placed in a separate container for transporting vegetables.
It is preferable that the potatoes be planted in sandy soil, and Ireland and England prefer to import white-fleshed potatoes, while yellow-fleshed potatoes are exported to Germany, and some countries in the European Union, and the large-sized mashed potatoes have a white peel, which are exported to Jordan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
